What was done?
Following the heaviest monsoon rainfall measured in 60 years, this project is building permanent shelter to replace housing lost to excessive flooding for 100 families in the Bardiya district in the Terai region of Nepal. CRWRF provided funding assistance to WorldRenew, working with local partners. Of the 31 deluge affected districts, 21 are Terai districts with 19 of them severely affected. Bardiya district is one among the most affected districts. The project will build safe and secure shelter through permanent construction of structures that are disaster resistant (earthquake, typhoon, flood resistant).
