In general, the Board agrees that bequests received by the Fund that are not "designated" by the Estate should be allocated for one-time costs rather than ongoing project support.

According to accounting practice, this revenue is "un-restricted". The Board should aim to match the donation to a disbursement, as expeditiously as possible. Proposals for capital expenditures that support sustainable agriculture or capacity building with current projects or partners should be invited. Disaster relief response is an equally viable opportunity to disburse estate donations as the nature of the donation matches the nature of the gift ie. one-time.
