What is Jan Peter Children Home?

Jan Peter Children Home, run by Oikonomos Ministries, is a registered not-for-profit society that meets the physical and spiritual needs of 340 children in India. 

The children follow a scheduled timetable throughout the year including a strict wake up time, exercises, and three meals (rice, vegetable curry, meat, and fruits). Special care is given to sick and weak children. The children have regular day-schooling between 9AM to 4PM from Monday to Friday. The slow learners and students with dyslexia are given individual attention. Children have achieved top marks in the board exams conducted in March 2017 by the Telengana State Government. The children's spiritual needs are also being nurtured. Morning and evening devotions are practiced daily. On Sunday they participate in a worship service followed by Sunday school conducted by theological students.
