Syria

CRWRF is continuing to support the people suffering in Syria/Lebanon. Our partner, World Renew, has been there for years with a

Milk & Diapers Program & Food Voucher program. The Milk & Diapers program helps the most vulnerable – the children – who need milk for growth. The Food Voucher program receives 4:1 Canadian Food Grains Bank matching – running from October 2016-March 2017.  This crisis is suffering from donor fatigue so aid is decreasing therefore need is increasing! The programs working in the locations of:  Bekaa valley, Chouf mountains, Beirut and environs, North and South Lebanon.

The conflict in Syria has resulted in one of the worst humanitarian and displacement crises in decades, forcing more than 4.8 million Syrians across borders and displacing an estimated 6.6 million internally. Countries in the region, including Turkey, Lebanon, Jordan, Iraq and Egypt, continue to host the vast majority of Syrian refugees. At present Syrian refugees have no opportunity for safe and sustainable return to Syria and they suffer from the exhaustion of personal resources and the deterioration of living conditions in host countries after five years of conflict. Resources are also increasingly strained in host countries where the majority of refugees still remain, including Lebanon.

Pray for them.
