(Update Feb 17, 2010) “He who gives to the poor will lack nothing...” Prov 28:27.
In full reliance on God for all that is needed, you have generously supported the Haiti Earthquake fund and entrusted us with total donations of $230,000 to disburse on your behalf. Many of you have also responded directly to the parallel appeals from CDIA-Adoration Christian School as well as Haiteen Coram Deo.

In line with our earlier publication, we have made funding allocations to CDIA ($25,000) and Haiteen Coram Deo ($10,000) to assist with immediate emergency aid delivery. In addition, in order to maximize government matching opportunities, we have directed the majority of our funding ($195,000) to a project spearheaded by CRWRC, a longtime trusted partner who has been present in Haiti since 1975. With government matching, your donations multiply to $390,000 towards this project of relief and rehabilitation.
|
The CRWRC project (estimated budget 3 Million dollars) is located in the Leogane area, 25 km west of the capital Port-au-Prince. This area was right at the epicenter of the earthquake and sustained 70% complete or partial damage. In six communities in this rural area, the project will provide both immediate relief, as well as longer term rehabilitation for 1600 households as well as rebuilding community resources of water, septic and schools.
Please continue to pray for wisdom, strength and endurance for all relief workers currently serving in Haiti as well as for the organizations here in Canada that manage the funding allocations. Most of all, pray that in all things the name of Jesus Christ will be lifted high in hope and expectation as the Rock that cannot be shaken.
